We Develop Film

We provided web design and Shopify development for We Develop Film, with branding by Milli. The project involved designing and building a Shopify store for this film development service, making it easier for customers to access analog media processing as its popularity resurges, even if it remains a niche compared to digital.

A key challenge was creating a seamless two-way product exchange system. Customers place an order for film development, receive a pre-stamped package, send their film in by mail, and then await the return of their developed film. To clarify this multi-step process, I included a detailed explanation on each product page, ensuring users always understand what to expect.

Another major consideration was product variants. Since our options exceeded Shopify’s default limits, we integrated a third-party app to handle the complexity. I focused on making the selection process intuitive for photographers of all experience levels, using radio buttons and drop-downs to simplify choices and enhance usability.
