Daily Bird

I designed and developed a website for Daily Bird, a coffee shop in Milwaukee, while the owner managed the branding. To help the business expand beyond its successful physical operations, I built a Shopify store that enables online product sales and extends the brand’s messaging.

The main goal was to create a digital experience that mirrors Daily Bird’s playful and positive personality. In addition to the standard product and event pages, I added interactive “easter eggs”—for example, clicking on the hero image reveals fun, brand-aligned messages. These unexpected interactions add a layer of delight for visitors and reflect the shop’s lively identity.

The product description pages use a unique layout that sets them apart from typical e-commerce sites. In the footer, bold, playful typography is paired with a list of books Daily Bird is currently reading, further reinforcing the brand’s character. Overall, the website and Shopify store work together to generate supplemental income while authentically representing Daily Bird’s fun, welcoming spirit online.
